EncounterPRO® Version 4.0
Configurability has been enhanced in all aspects of the application.
2. Improved Workflow.
EncounterPRO Version 4.0 is the only true workflow management system (WfMS) for ambulatory care. Its workflow "engine" is not an add-on, separate module. Rather, it is the foundation upon which all EncounterPRO workflow processing rests. Any type of data retrieval (such as reviews of allergies, medications, and open problems), data or order entry (such as vital signs, ROS, chief complaint and HPI, physical exam, assessment and orders), or background activity (printing, retrieving of lab results, alerts and health maintenance rules) can be made to occur automatically and in a fashion that makes sure the tasks get done and in the most efficient order possible.
3. Patient Care Plans.
Providers can now configure a care plan for patients extending into the future that may include messages, e-mails, and notification to the provider when orders have not been carried out.
4. Generation of E&M Codes.
Evaluation and management visit level codes are directly generated as a by-product of clinical data entry.
5. Lab Interface.
4.0 offers the ability for practices to submit lab requisitions to commercial labs and to receive the results back into the patients’ record automatically, with instant notification to the provider..
6. Patient Education and Informed Consent Materials.
4.0 will support any Microsoft format, including Word, AVI, bitmaps, JPEG, etc., allowing providers to create their own materials or acquire them from CDs or websites. Materials can be delivered in a variety of ways (printed, e-mailed, etc.) with a single touch of a button..
7. Improved Growth Charts.
New pediatric growth data from the Centers for Disease Control now generates graphs with absolute values as well as normalized percentile graphs.
8. Improved Physical Exams.
4.0 permits multiple physical exam templates, pre-configured result sets and copies of past exams to be available with one touch, sharing among providers, and the ability to drill down to any number of levels to record data.
9. Annotated Images.
Providers can now annotate images such as anatomical drawings, digital photos, x-rays, etc., and send them to the patient’s chart.
10. Device Integration.
4.0 allows easy integration with third-party software and devices.
11. Multi-Specialty Customization.
4.0 content is customized to specialty, clinic, and personal preferences. EncounterPRO can now serve many specialties within a single clinic.
12. Referral Tracking
4.0 tracks outstanding referrals and alerts physicians if referrals don’t come back.
